My name is Barni, and I’m a mountain guide. Born and raised in a small village, my playgrounds where the hills and the forest. There was a charming spot on one hill where if the weather was clear, you could the Fagaras Mountains. It was my goal to wander and explore them. Follow your dreams, and they will become true. Now my goal is to enrich your life by providing unforgettable experiences in the mountains. I have more than 7 years of experience in guiding my clients in the mountains of Romania. SAFETY IS MY FOREMOST CONCERN. My activities include hiking, sport/multi-pitch climbing, bike, bushcraft, ski mountaineering, ice climbing, and dry tooling.

The trail leading up to the hut does not present any difficulty. The path mainly takes you through the forest, passing through some nice meadows on the way. You intersect with various trails on the way.
It's a nice and relaxing walk, the duration is approximately 4-5 hours.
The pat will take us true forests near Fantanele Hut, and then under Toaca peak ending at Dochia hut where we will stay for one night. It's an awesome place where you will surely recharge your batteries. Next morning we will get up early to catch the sunrise, after that we will visit Ceahlau Monastery where we will find out how the monastery is closely related to the mountain. If the snow and conditions are good on our way home we will visit Duruitoarea waterfall, a nice charming place.
On our way back in the village, we will visit the Ethnographic Museum, for a better understanding of the cultural heritage of the place and why not taste the local cuisine.
We believe it's one of the most famous routes in Romania. The Vadu Crisului Defile it's a magical place.
On the trail to the via Ferrata, we pass by an intriguing cave and a gorgeous waterfall.
We also pass by the Frontier Tower of Salt. It's a tower built in Medieval times around 1200, the objective was to oversee the salt shipment. Also, it was the border between the Transylvanian Principality and Ottoman Pashalic.
The hike to the route takes approximately 40 minutes with stops. The route length is 215 meters, with a vertical climb of 150 meters.
You start next to a small pound and gradually as you climb, first you will be above the forest, and then as you get even higher, the whole valley presents itself. The view it's breathtaking.
